The role of a man in marriage

The man is to be the boss of the family taking lead in decision making and  seeing to  the overall well being of his family.The man is to show his wife unconditional love and unwavering support at all times.

Apart from God a man's top most priority should be his family,  ensuring that the family has

appropriate shelter, clothing and food, not to mention access to adequate health care. They are also obligated to ensure their children get access to quality education and training to help them meet life's challenges, not least of
all love and care for the family. 

Husbands are to be good role models by living a life which is based on the word of God and also being the spiritual head of his family constantly teaching his family the word and praying for them and with them always.

The is bound to be problems when husband's refuse to fulfill their responsibilities they lose their respect and place as the head of the family.

The role of the wife is to help the husband, but she is not to replace your role in the home. You are to work in concert with her to create a spirit of harmony within. To do that you must be there as a man.

 The scripture instructs wives to submit to their husbands. More often than not, the interpretation given to this scripture is to mean that a wives should  be submissive to their husband's authority. Taking a look at the preceding verses,  first command given was to the men. God told husbands to love their wives even as Christ loved the church. The significance is on love. Christ loved the church so much that He died for it. His death on calvary was an indication  that He is ever ready and willing to do anything for what he loves. That's all that a wife wants from her husband. To know that he would do anything for her, even lay down his life. Just as we submit to God's love when we accept Him as our personal Saviour, wives submit to their husband's love when he loves her as Christ loved the church. Husbands were given the command to love, not the wives. She was commanded to submit. So husbands, love your wives into submission, even if she resists. God requires her to submit to you as you shower her with unconditional love.
