THE GOOD PROFESSION

THE GOOD PROFESSION

HEBREWS 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens,Jesus the Son of God, let us HOLD FAST OUR PROFESSION [our confession of
faith].
We would do Hebrews 4:14 no injustice by reading it this way: "This is the reason we must HOLD FAST TO OUR CONFESSION, because we have such a great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God." The Greek word which is translated "profession" or "confession" implies that this verse can also be read, "Let us hold fast to saying the same thing." What does that mean? Jesus, our Great High Priest,is representing us at the throne of God. And Jesus is saying, "I took their place. I died for them as their Substitute."Jesus didn't die for Himself.
He didn't need to redeem Himself because He wasn't lost. But He needed to die for us because we were lost. We're the redeemed of the Lord in Christ Jesus. Ps107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say [so], whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; He became our Substitute. He took our sins. He bare our sicknesses. He carried our diseases. He died for us. He arose from the dead for us and ascended on High for us. Jesus is at the right hand of the throne of God, saying, "I did all that for them."
Now we are to hold fast to our profession - saying the same thing here on the earth that the Word says. That's what puts the devil on the run. So get your attention focused on
the right things - on Jesus, our great High Priest, and on His Word - instead of on yourself. keep Looking at the Word
PRAYER
Father I thank you for your redemption. I'm making out the good profession. I speak positive. I'm full of life in Jesus name. Amen
Lessons from the life of Noah

Lessons from the life of Noah

As human population increased, the sons of God took the beautiful women of the human race as wives at their own preference. Their offspring were the mighty and the nobles of old called the Nephilim. Men became exceedingly wicked and evil  the lord was grieved at heart for creating man and the lord decided to wipe  out the entire human race completely but Noah found favor with the lord because he was found righteous
Noah was a Sethies  the son of Lamech( the son of Methuselah ) being the only blameless man in his day.He had three sons: Shem, Ham, Japheth. Now the lord called Noah and ordered him to build an ark from resinous wood and to seal it with tar. The ark was 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and a height of 45 feet, it roof was finished to within 18 inches of the top, and a door at the side. It had an upper, middle and a lower deck. The lord also asked him to take with him a pair of every kind of animal male and female into the ark.Noah did exactly as the lord commanded. He was 600 years when the floods came. His wife, sons and their wives together with the various animals. The earth sprang up water while the heavens pour rain for forty days and nights .During this day of Noah,  every creature tasted the wrath of God except the ark and it content, no living survived. The water covered the earth for 150 days and the Lord remembered  Noah and He sent a wind which blew across the waters and the floods receded.
Five months later the ark landed or rested on mountain Ararat.Noah spent almost a year in the ark. After the floods had dried up   completely the lord asked him to leave the ark .He built an altar to the Lord and sacrificed on animals and birds that had been approved by God for this purpose.God promised never to send floods to kill all living creatures or destroy the earth. The rainbow was used as a sign of permanent promise which is a seal to the covenant God had with Noah. Noah became a farm after the floods,he got drunk of win he had prepared and lay uncovered in his tenth.Ham sow  him and he reported it to his brothers.Noah lent about it and cursed the descendant of Canaan the son of Ham.
Noah lived to be 950 years before he died

had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented
long ago in sackcloth and ashes. {11:22} But I say unto
you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day
of judgment, than for you. {11:23} And thou, Capernaum,
which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to
hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee,
