How to Prevent your Car from being Stolen

1. Parking garages are often considered safe places to park your car so that it cannot be damaged, Parking in a well-lit area will help deter criminals, but parking near building entrances and parking nearby security cameras adds extra protection. But parking in an isolated garage could jeopardize your personal safety. If you use a parking lot, try to park as close as possible to the attendant or to a surveillance camera.

 2. If you plan to sell your vehicle one of the recommended ways to avoid vehicle theft is you do not lend it to potential customers for testing and you should always have the vehicle in the company of a trusted person. If the buyer insists on testing the car do not allow him to do it alone go with him on the test drive and should be done at a place where  there it is a lot of people

3. If you are notified from the outside of the vehicle that your tire has a problem or the car is burning, drive to a place you consider safer and then check the condition of the car. Surprisingly, this type of theft occurs at any time of day and on very busy routes.

4. Unlike the previous case, the next recommended way to avoid vehicle theft for those traveling on routes with little traffic. If you hear a sudden bung on you car at night, with a few pedestrian or little traffic, we recommend you go ahead and check the condition of the vehicle when you arrive at your destination.

5. No matter where you park your car, avoid leaving valuables in vehicle seats or visible areas, as this will attractive thieves.

6. Take a careful of your environment before parking the car in the garage or taking your vehicle. If you look around and you see something suspicious, it is better to wait for a little or call the police if necessary.

7. Another recommended way to prevent vehicle theft is, if someone throws an egg to the windscreen of the car, do not activate the system to clean it. Stay calm and accelerate, because what the thief hopes for is that you lose visibility and stop. Although this is the most common, any stuff or object can be thrown at you, do not slow down or stop to solve the problem.

8. If your vehicle has an alarm system, use it. If you do not have it, we advise you to install one because the sound generated by the alarm can put the thief to flight.
Anyone stealing a car does not have the time. So it has to be quick, and anything that stops the thief increases the chance that your own car is spared.

9.There is also car parts stealing. Therefore, the authorities recommend that certain parts be marked to prevent thieves from selling them, thus reducing theft.

10. Use steering wheel claw: it locks the steering wheel and prevents anyone from driving the car. An additional obstacle must be overcome. When the car is simply loaded on a trailer, the claw is useless. And even if the thief only wants to take parts like the radio.

11. Use a parking claw: the parking claw is attached to one or more wheels and also prevents a person from going easily with the car. The effort for the owner is however significantly higher than with a steering wheel.

12. Use Valve monitors: they are installed on the tire valves and ensure that the tire is flat after a few meters.

13. Almost all new cars now have an electronic immobilizer that is disabled by a chip in the key. For thieves, however, it is not difficult to bypass these with appropriate software within a very short period of time. In addition, some owners use GPS trackers in the car - but they only show the location of the stolen car and do not prevent theft.
