Plants resources have been helpful to the human race and
will continue to be on-demand as the days pass by. Plants have edible and non-edible parts, the edible parts which range from leaves, flowers, stem, fruit and roots. These have brought about plants
being the most significant to meeting the demands of man.
Vegetables which could be edible part of a plant or a whole plant range from leaves, fruit, stem and root. Vegetables have become a
necessity in our daily health live, they can be cooked before eaten or can be
eaten raw. Vegetables are great rich source of vitamins and minerals. It is
therefore important and necessary to eat vegetables every day. Parents should
always make sure that their children have enough of vegetables daily.
Lack of not eating enough or not eating vegetables can
create lots of health problems and deficiencies. Lack of vegetables could cause
one to suffer from a list of deficiencies. Mineral and vitamin deficiency is
one major health problem one could suffer from for not eating enough or not
eating vegetables. Important vitamins like Vitamin B which helps to obtain
energy from your diet, clothing of blood which is supported by vitamin K and
vitamin C, on the other hand, helps in the quick healing of wounds would not be
present in the required quantity since intake of vegetables is less or absent.

Benefits of Vegetables
Eating vegetables have a number of benefits. Eating or diet
rich in vegetables may help to reduce the risk for cardiovascular disease, this is due to the presence of the potassium in these vegetables which
helps in maintaining healthy blood pressure. The is also the reduction of
blood cholesterol levels which helps in lowering the risk of heart diseases.
Cancer is one of the deadly chronic disease. Vegetable contain the
phytochemicals indoles and sulforaphane, they both help fight and prevent
cancer.
Vitamin C is important for growth. It helps in quick healing
of wounds and keeps teeth and gums strong and healthy.

may help to reduce the risk of heart disease obesity and diabetes.

cabbage is round in shape . It comes in different colours ranging from green to
red and purple which belongs to the vegetable family cruciferous.

vitamin B-6, manganese , vitamin c, calcium, potassium and thiamine.
Thus vegetables also contain natural chemicals which helps
in fighting certain chronic illness. Cabbages help in curing and prevent the

Carrots
Carrot is a vegetable which belong to the vegetable family Apiaceae . Carrots have crunchy texture and
sweet taste.They are widely used and
it’s orange in colour but there exist
other variant colours like purple, white, red and yellow. The most common part
eaten is the taproot.
Carrots are rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B-8, Folic
